Natasha & Steve Hobson
Natasha Hobson
AKY DISTRICT COORDINATOR
Natasha and the rest of the Hobson family are recent transplants from Texas. With a burden for souls and a calling to the Last Frontier, Alaska is now their home. Natasha is wife to Steve Hobson and a homeschooling parent. She’s a mother to three amazing young people, Jared (20), Braden (17), and Kianna (13). Her introduction to Bible Quizzing started when her own children began quizzing as beginners. She loved being a parent volunteer and a coach. The most exciting thing for her was witnessing the life changing impact that quizzing brought in her own children and the other quizzers. Learning, memorizing, hiding God’s Word in their hearts and allowing it to take root in children and young people is a passion for her. Natasha loves to teach Bible studies and serve at her local church. She also loves to explore the outdoors, experience adventure, travel to new places and spend time with her family. She has a strong desire to see Bible Quizzing grow throughout the Alaska Yukon District.
Steve Hobson
ADVISOR
Steve Hobson is an avid reader and teacher of the Word of God. One of his favorite scriptures, Luke 4:18, attests to his desire to spread the gospel through the Word of God. He finds that through memorization of scripture, a man becomes more wise, more determined and ultimately empowered to fulfill Gods purpose in their life. That through Gods word, nations are ruled, storms are calmed and the sick are healed.
Steve Hobson attended Jackson College of Ministries, after which he served under several pastors, teaching all ages the importance of hearing and obeying Gods Word. He now attends Life Church in Anchorage, Alaska, where he also lives with his wife and their three children.

Kim has lived in Alaska for more than 40 years (don’t do the math) and considers this her home.
Kim is a mom to Ellis, soon to be mother in love to Jamison, and dog mom to Kendall.
When she is not working her full time job in hospital medical staff administration she loves to read, cook, decorate, entertain, and spend time with family and friends. She is also a great appreciator of anything coffee related.
Kim was actively involved in Bible quizzing during her teenage years, and is so excited to be involved again. She loves to see the growth and maturity that takes place with the young quizzers.
Ryan & Jennifer Butler
Ryan Butler
SENIOR QUIZMASTER
Ryan is a devoted husband and father & respected friend to many. He is the Christian Education Director at Life Church in Anchorage, Alaska, pastored by Rev. Jim Blackshear.
Born in Indiana, Ryan fell in love with Alaska as a 12-year old and vowed to move there someday. In 2006, his dreams became reality when he brought his wife Jennifer and three young children to The Last Frontier to make it their home.
Ryan is an avid outdoorsman. He started and operates a business centered around this passion. In his free time, you will find him hunting or foraging in the mountains, floating a river with fly rod in tow or harvesting seafood from the ocean waters of the Pacific. When he is not out in nature, he’s most likely making plans for his next venture outdoors.
Jennifer Butler
SENIOR HEAD JUDGE/ADVISOR
Jennifer is a wife and mother of three adult children, aged 21-24. She loves serving her local church (Life Church in Anchorage, Alaska), as well as the broader Anchorage community.
Her first pursuit into Bible Quizzing was at 10 years old when her parents started a Junior Quizzing program in their Washington state church. Although she only quizzed two years, Bible reading and memorization were always emphasized in her childhood home and her love for God’s Word grew deep at a very young age. Ministering to the souls of children & teens are a primary calling in her life and she derives GREAT JOY at hearing/watching them recall & quote Scripture.
Jennifer reads incessantly, laughs the most around the dinner table with her family, while eating a great meal or playing strategy games, and has the time of her life when she joins her husband on the waters and terrain of Alaska.
